Scholarship Description:

The Regents Of The University of Michigan Undergraduate Awards 2020-21 is an annually awarded scholarship established for highly capable international students who want to pursue undergraduate degree programs for the 2020-21 academic year. This scholarship is open for international students who want to pursue undergraduate level program(s) in the field of Music and Theatre, Music and Dance, Literature, Arts, Nursing, Engineering, Architecture taught at the university.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • An annual scholarship of $18,000 up to four years will be provided by Regents of the University of Michigan
  • Each award is valued at $40,000 for a period of four years

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship award:

Requirements for Freshmen

  • International student that holds a valid visa
  • GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • SAT combined score of 1020 or higher (ACT composite score of 20)
  • Full-time degree-seeking enrollment at University of Michigan-Dearborn
  • Renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn

Requirements for Transfers

  • International student that holds a valid visa
  • GPA of 3.5 (4.0 scale)
  • Full-time degree-seeking enrollment at University of Michigan-Dearborn
  • Renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn
  • English Proficiency score of IELTS (6.5), TOEFL (IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550), or MELAB (76).
  • Note: If you have earned less than 24 transferrable credits, you must also submit:
  • SAT combined score of 1020 or higher (ACT composite score of 20)
  • Official High School Transcripts

Language Requirements

  • English Proficiency score of IELTS (6.5), TOEFL (IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550), or MELAB (76).

  • Applicants are required to apply for admission in an undergraduate degree at U-M
  • Thereafter, applicants can now fill the common application for this bursary.
