Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust


The Oxford Weidenfeld and Hoffman Scholarships and Leadership Program was established in 2015 to mark the 95th birthday of Lord Weidenfeld. This scholarship became possible thanks to generous donations from multiple donors. This scholarship and leadership program cultivates the leader of tomorrow by providing outstanding university graduates and professionals from developing and emerging economies. Also, it grants international students the opportunity to pursue fully funded graduate studies at the University of Oxford, combined with a comprehensive program of leadership development.

  • Scholarship will cover 100% of course
  • It will cover fees and grant for living cost (of at least £15,009)
  • Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.

Eligibility Criteria

  • International students should be intending to return to their country of residence when they complete their course
  • Applicants should be able to link their subject of study and long-term career objectives, explaining how their professional work will contribute to society
  • This scholarship is not open to applications from candidates who hold deferred offers to study in 2020-2021.

Application Procedure

  • Applicants must select Weidened-Hoffman Scholarships and Leadership Program in the University of Oxford Scholarships section of the University’s graduate application form in order to be considered for this scholarship. Also, applicants must be successful in being offered a place on their course after consideration of application received by the relevant January deadline for the course.
  • Applicants will be required to participate in an interview via Skype if shortlisted
