The Human Rights Summit Canada is a four-day youth event in Vancouver, held from 21 to 24 May 2027. This is the 6th edition, and it’s organised by Voice for Rights International Association (VFRI). It brings together young people and professionals to talk about human rights, leadership and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Applications close on 30 November 2026.
Before you apply, know that it’s not free and not fully funded There’s a processing fee to apply, and only a few places come with sponsorship.
Who Can Apply?
Anyone aged 16 or over, from any country and any background You don’t need to have worked in human rights before. The selection committee looks at your leadership potential, your commitment to human rights, your community work, your motivation, your achievements and your ability to work with people from different countries.
How Many Places Are There?
There are 1,000 seats in total: 150 in person and 850 virtual (with a certificate). The in-person seats are split into 20 fully sponsored, 30 partially sponsored, 50 self-sponsored and 50 free conference access passes The selection committee decides which category you’re offered, so being accepted doesn’t mean you’ll be sponsored.
