SRD SASSA Status Check R370 Grant Payment Dates

Unlike other SASSA grants, the SRD R370 grant does not have one fixed payment day. Your payment date is set for you after SASSA checks your details each month. \

This page shows how to find your own payment date, how the grant works up to 2027 and what to do if your payment is late.

How to find your SRD payment date

  1. Go to srd.sassa.gov.za.
  2. Choose the status check option.
  3. Enter your 13-digit ID number and your registered cell number.
  4. If you are approved, the status page shows your payment date (the “Pay Day” field, as reported).

You can also check on WhatsApp (082 046 8553) or by USSD (12069277#).

How the payment dates work

  • Each month SASSA checks your details with Home Affairs (ID), SARS (income) and your bank or payment details.
  • Your date is assigned after that verification, so two people can have different dates in the same month.
  • SRD is typically paid late in the month. Some reports give a window in the last week of the month, so treat any “official date” on a website as a guide only.

Where you can get your money

  • Directly into your bank account, if you registered one
  • Postbank card, at ATMs or Postbank branches
  • Cash withdrawal at participating retailers (call 0800 60 10 11 to confirm)
  • Cash Send, for people without a bank account or card

What about 2027?
The government announced that the R370 SRD grant is extended until 31 March 2027, with no increase in the amount. The President has also said the SRD grant will be redesigned into a jobseekers’ grant, but no date, rules or amount have been announced yet. Until then, keep checking your status every month and do not rely on unofficial websites for new rules.

Approved but not paid?

  • Check that your bank details are verified and match your name.
  • Wait 2 to 3 business days after your payment date, because funds can take time to show.
  • If your status says “Bank details pending”, update them on srd.sassa.gov.za.
  • Call the toll-free helpline 0800 60 10 11 (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00) if you still do not receive it.
